Job Description Summary APAC for Grid System Integration is a growing region with vibrant cultural diversity. It is one of the largest geographically spread regions. APAC is witnessing an energy transition towards net zero goals. Renewable integration and network strengthening are driving demand for products and solutions that can help enable the transition. HVDC & Power Compensation opportunities are emerging and providing growth potential to the GSI APAC region. Reporting hierarchically to the GSI APAC Leader and functionally to the GSI Global Commercial & Marketing Leader, the GSI APAC Commercial Leader is responsible for leading and developing GSI sales across the APAC region in coordination with the APAC Tendering and Project Execution teams, the GSI Centers of Excellence, and other Grid Solutions Product Lines. In this role, the candidate leads the GSI sales teams in APAC, is accountable for sales strategy definition and implementation, develops customer intimacy, business development, and order intake, while ensuring strict application of GEV ethics, compliance, and processes with a strong focus on HVDC, Power Compensation and AC System projects. Responsibilities Develop a vision and strategy to maximize profitable growth for GSI in APAC, influencing market and customer trends, finding disruptive business models and solutions, and increasing GEV value-added to the market. Translate vision and strategy into concrete commercial action plans for the APAC sales team and contribute to the strategic plan. Develop knowledge of and relationships with GSI customers in APAC, and deep understanding of their organisations and key players. Gain clear understanding of customer needs, decision processes, and drivers; provide top‐class support and ensure the GSI APAC sales team is their preferred contact for solution development. Accountable for pipeline identification, management, and demand creation for GSI in APAC, ensuring early engagement with customers. Align with the commercial action plan, prioritise growth in the most profitable segments, generate and identify early high‐interest opportunities, and ensure continuous pipeline alignment with strategy, budget and forecasts. Ensure full alignment, involvement and support for pipeline prioritisation and commercial strategies from sales & tendering teams across other Grid Solution business lines. Accountable for preparing the GSI sales budget and long‐term strategic plan in APAC, by quarter, and for delivering volume, profitability and down‐payments as planned. Accountable for monthly updates and commercial reports on order intake versus plan by quarter. Lead the GSI sales team in APAC to prepare, negotiate and win target offers, coordinating with all involved stakeholders (tendering, finance, sourcing, project execution, commercial teams from other Grid Solutions business lines, etc.) and delivering sales targets in line with forecast.
