Overview The National University of Singapore invites applications for a Research Assistant in the Infectious Diseases Translational Research Program (IDTRP), Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Appointments will be made on a 1-year contract basis, with the possibility of extension. The IDTRP is dedicated to advancing research that transforms fundamental discoveries into real-world solutions to improve health outcomes across Asia. Purpose of the post This full-time position is for a Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant in the Immunometabolism Lab, led by Assistant Professor Cheryl Lee, within the Infectious Disease Translational Research Programme at NUS Yong Yoo Lin School of Medicine. The team investigates metabolic interactions of the immune system and pathogens and their contribution to infectious disease pathogenesis. The lab seeks a motivated, detail-oriented team player to manage the lab and conduct research under supervision. Main Duties and Responsibilities Ensure the smooth organization of the lab, including purchasing, stock-taking, inventory management, and compliance with safety and ethical regulations. Manage grants and budgeting. Perform tasks and support the team in scientific projects. Plan and perform experiments, and discuss data with the project team. Monitor, document, and report experimental results and research findings accurately. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Life Sciences, Immunology, Molecular Biology, or related fields. Demonstrated basic knowledge, skills, and technical expertise in supporting various biological research activities (e.g., cell culture, biochemistry, molecular biology). Basic routine laboratory skills, including biological safety. Comfortable working with BSL-2 viruses. Willingness to learn new skills. Strong organizational skills.
