What you will be responsible for:
High Voltage Electrical System Design and Implementation (Core Responsibility, 70%)
Power Distribution System Planning and Design:
Lead the end-to-end design of power distribution systems (10kV and below high-voltage/low-voltage systems), including:

  • Primary system design: Layout of transformer and distribution rooms, main circuit diagram design (single busbar sectionalized, ring network configurations), short-circuit current calculations, equipment selection (transformers, HV/LV switchgear, circuit breakers, bus duct, etc.).
  • Secondary system design: Relay protection configuration (overcurrent, differential, directional protection), power monitoring system (SCADA) architecture design, and power quality management (harmonic suppression, reactive power compensation schemes).

Design scenarios include industrial plants, commercial complexes, data centers, and new energy power plants (solar/energy storage).
Project Implementation and Commissioning
Review construction drawings, and prepare technical specifications for electrical equipment installation (e.g., cable routing, grounding resistance requirements).
Lead commissioning of power distribution systems, resolving operational issues (e.g., transformer inrush current suppression, relay protection malfunctions).
Energy Efficiency Optimization and New Technology Application:
Propose energy-saving solutions for power distribution systems (e.g., transformer load optimization, dynamic reactive power compensation).
Research renewable energy integration technologies (e.g., seamless transition strategies between energy storage systems and diesel generator sets).
Low Voltage Electrical System Collaboration (Supplementary Responsibility, 30%)
Assist the Low Voltage Team in Power Supply Design for Smart Systems (e.g., fire alarm, building automation, security monitoring), ensuring:
Reliability of power supply for low-voltage equipment (e.g., UPS configuration, dual-power switching logic design).
Compatibility between high-voltage and low-voltage systems (e.g., isolation between POE switch power supply and HV distribution).
Resolve issues related to electromagnetic interference (EMI) and conflicts in grounding systems (e.g., choice between isolated grounding for low voltage vs. combined grounding).
International Standards Compliance and Certification Management
Application of Standards and Certification Support:
Ensure designs comply with the following key international standards:
IEC Standards: IEC Low-voltage switchgear assemblies), IEC Low-voltage switchgear), IEC Low-voltage electrical installations).
CE Directives: LVD (Low Voltage Directive), EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive) – including preparation of technical documentation and testing.
UL Standards: UL 508A (Industrial Control Panels), UL 891 (Switchgear), UL 50 (Enclosure Ratings).
Lead or support product certifications (e.g., CE/UL certifications), coordinating with third-party testing agencies (TUV, SGS) to complete testing.
Localization Standards Integration:
- Harmonize international standards with local regulations (e.g., GB 50052 "Power Distribution System Design Code" and GB 50054 "Low Voltage Power Distribution Code") to ensure project compliance.
Full Lifecycle Technology Management
Early-stage Support:Participate in project feasibility studies, and provide technical and economic analyses for electric system proposals (e.g., equipment localization alternatives).
Construction Phase:Conduct on-site technical briefings, and resolve construction issues (e.g., cable tray routing overlaps with HVAC piping).
Operation and Maintenance Phase:Prepare equipment operation and maintenance manuals, and develop contingency plans (e.g., flood prevention measures in distribution rooms, black-start procedures for diesel generators).
How you will stand out:
Essential Requirements
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems and Automation, High Voltage and Insulation Technology, or related fields.
Holder of a Registered Electrical Engineer license (Power Transmission/Distribution) and/or PMP certification is preferred.
Work Experience:
5+ years of high voltage electrical system design experience, with independent work on at least 3 mid-sized projects (e.g., 10kV substations, commercial complexes over 50,000 sqm).
Familiarity with high and low voltage products and technical aspects from brands like Schneider, ABB, and Siemens.
Core Technical Skills:
High Voltage Design Expertise:
Proficient in design tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP/SKM (power system simulation), and Revit MEP (BIM design).
Expertise in short-circuit current calculations (Symmetrical Component Method), relay protection settings (time-current curve coordination), and grounding system design (TN-S/TN-C-S).
Low Voltage Collaboration Skills:
Knowledge of electrical requirements for low-voltage systems (e.g., independent circuit design for security systems, data center panelboard configurations).
Familiarity with protocols like Modbus and BACnet for integrating high voltage monitoring systems with low-voltage systems.
Standards Interpretation:
Capability to develop technical documentation compliant with IEC/CE/UL standards (e.g., CE conformity declarations, UL certification testing plans).
Familiarity with key domestic standards such as GB/T 14549 "Power Quality and Harmonics in Public Power Grid"
Soft Skills:
Proficient in cross-disciplinary coordination (with structural, HVAC, and plumbing teams) and capable of quickly identifying and resolving technical conflicts.
English proficiency at CET-6 level or above, with the ability to interpret IEC/UL standards and write English technical reports.
Willingness to travel abroad for assignments.
Preferred Requirements
Experience in international projects (e.g., in Europe, the US, Southeast Asia) with familiarity in local standards (e.g., NEC, BS
