Position Senior Technician – Landscape & Pest Control at Marina Bay Sands. Job Responsibilities Perform hands‐on maintenance for general and curated landscape, including bonsai and shrubs. Conduct routine landscape inspections and report defects to superiors. Escort vendors/service partners for landscape, pest control and irrigation maintenance services. Ensure works meet SOPs, guidelines and standards. Assist in the operation and maintenance of the irrigation system. Carrying out simple administrative updates in the system. Conduct inventory stock checks, store management and equipment checks. Perform ad‐hoc tasks as required, assist other facilities department team members. Job Requirements At least ‘N’ level or higher; an advantage. NEA certificate in pest management; an advantage. Relevant landscape training certificate; an advantage. Experience At least five years of hands‐on practical experience as a landscape gardener or equivalent. Other Prerequisites Knowledge of horticultural chemical and pesticide application is an advantage. Experience working outdoors and exposure to various environmental factors; ability to access all property areas, including at height, and work indoor and outdoor. Experience in basic health assessment of plants. Experience using horticultural chemicals and pesticides. Adaptability and ability to perform in a fast‐paced environment. Ability to work with minimal supervision and occasionally independently. Basic communication skills to provide clear instructions to vendors. Physical ability to perform frequent walking, sitting for long periods, standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction. Monitoring day‐to‐day work progress of defect rectification and identifying equipment defects. Enforcing safe work practices for contractors based on risk assessment and safe work procedures. Willingness to work any day of the week, any shift or extended hours when necessary. Execution of all jobs correctly and properly within SOPs, guidelines and standards. Attendance at regular meetings and collaboration with maintenance contractors to improve service levels. Assistance in documenting and storing records of landscape, pest control and irrigation maintenance work. Support in implementing safety standards and protocols for landscape, pest control and irrigation maintenance work. Strong attention to detail.
