Job Summary We seek an innovative Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production processes for complex aerospace components. You'll bridge design and production by developing machining strategies, improving yields, and implementing lean methodologies in our CNC machining/EDM operations. Key Responsibilities Process Development & Optimization Design manufacturing processes for new aerospace components (turbine blades, vanes, structural parts)Create CNC Machining/EDM Process Plans Tooling selection Fixture design Cutting parameters for exotic alloys (Inconel, titanium, Waspaloy)Reduce cycle times by 30%+ through process improvements Technical Leadership Serve as technical liaison between design engineering and production teams Lead PFMEA and control plan development per AS9100 requirements Implement automated inspection techniques (CMM programming, vision systems)Continuous Improvement Drive Lean/Six Sigma projects (5S, SMED, value stream mapping)Analyze OEE data to identify bottleneck operations Champion cost-saving initiatives ($100K+ annual impact)New Product Introduction (NPI)Manage first-article runs and PPAP documentation Resolve manufacturability issues during design reviews Develop work instructions for aerospace-grade machining Required Qualifications & Experience BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aerospace Engineering 5+ years in precision manufacturing (aerospace preferred)CNC programming (Mastercam, NX, or similar)GD&T (ASME Y14.5)Aerospace materials and their machining challenges Expertise In CNC programming (Mastercam, NX, or similar)GD&T (ASME Y14.5)Aerospace materials and their machining challenges Preferred Multi-axis machining (5-axis mills, Swiss-turn lathes)Nadcap special processes (chemical processing, NDT)Certifications: Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, PE license The Talent People 24C2589#J-18808-Ljbffr
