Senior Software Engineer | Python | Investment Management Senior Software Engineer – Python | Middle Office (Equities/Equity Derivatives) Type: Permanent A leading Financial Services Institution is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in Python to join their dynamic technology team supporting Middle Office operations for Equities and Equity Derivatives . Role Overview The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and enhancing systems that underpin trading, risk, and operations workflows within a fast-paced capital markets environment. This role will involve close collaboration with business stakeholders—including traders, operations, and risk teams—to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient technology solutions aligned with the firm’s strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities Design and develop high-performance applications in Python , ensuring robust and maintainable code. Work closely with Middle Office teams to understand business processes and translate them into technical solutions. Enhance and support existing platforms that handle trade capture, reconciliation, and PnL reporting . Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve automation, data flows, and operational efficiency across Equities and Equity Derivatives products. Participate in code reviews, testing, and production support as part of a continuous improvement cycle. Contribute to architectural discussions and technology strategy for Middle Office systems. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of software engineering experience in a banking or financial services environment . Strong programming expertise in Python . Solid understanding of Equities or Equity Derivatives trade lifecycle and Middle Office processes. Proven experience integrating systems with Front, Middle, and Back Office platforms. Familiarity with databases (SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL) and messaging technologies (Kafka, MQ). Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Salary Range: SGD150,000-200,000 Additional Requirements Experience with cloud technologies (AWS/Azure) or microservices architecture. Exposure to risk and PnL systems or trade flow automation. Knowledge of Agile methodologies and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, etc.).
