Senior Sourcing Manager

We are seeking a Senior Sourcing Manager to lead supplier assessment, development and sourcing initiatives for precision machining and plastic molding commodities. This role is responsible for building sourcing strategies, developing supplier relationships, driving cost improvements and ensuring a resilient supply base to support business growth. The ideal candidate has strong analytical, technical and negotiation skills, with proven experience in managing suppliers in precision machining and plastic manufacturing processes. What You Will Be Doing Supplier Assessment & Development Identify, assess and qualify new suppliers for precision machining and plastic molding parts. Conduct supplier capability audits, quality system reviews and capacity evaluations. Develop and implement supplier improvement plans to enhance performance, quality and cost competitiveness. Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management Build and execute category sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives. Lead supplier selection and onboarding processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, operations, finance). Develop strong supplier relationships to foster long-term collaboration and innovation. Cost Management & Analysis Perform should-cost analysis for precision machining and plastic commodities. Drive cost reduction initiatives through value engineering, process optimization and negotiation. Identify and implement opportunities for total cost of ownership (TCO) savings. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with R&D and NPI engineering teams on design-for-manufacturability and supplier involvement in early product development. Collaborate with quality teams to ensure suppliers meet quality standards and compliance requirements. Work with operations and planning to ensure supply continuity and risk mitigation. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of strategic sourcing experience in life science instruments manufacturing. Effective communicator with ability to influence at all levels. Strong business acumen and comfortable to make effective decisions in ambiguity. Hands‐on ability to perform analysis on large amount of data to drive insights and decisions. Comprehensive knowledge on contract commercial terms and ability to lead supply agreement negotiations independently. Ability to operate in a fast‐paced environment and juggle shifting priorities and tight timelines. Preferred Skills & Experience A degree in engineering is strongly preferred.
