Senior Software Engineer, AICET - NUS (1-year Contract; Renewable) Join to apply for the Senior Software Engineer, AICET - NUS (1-year Contract; Renewable) role at National University of Singapore Job Description The AI Centre for Educational Technologies (AICET) is a research centre that focuses on developing technologies to improve learning. AICET collaborates with the Ministry of Education, Singapore and the National University of Singapore on various projects to build systems that provide immediate personalised feedback to students, adapt content to their performance, and improve assessment and grading efficiency and effectiveness. The Senior Software Engineer will be part of a team that builds next‑generation education platforms for AICET. Responsibilities Build software for AICET under one of its projects. Current projects include: Codaveri – an auto‑feedback programming system Coursemology – a gamified e‑learning platform Softmark – an online grading tool Cikgo – a personalised learning platform ScholAIstic – an interactive conversational‑based simulation platform Koditsu – a platform that helps students prepare for tech job assessments and interviews with realistic practice and personalized feedback SSID – a system that safeguards academic integrity by flagging potential plagiarism and unusual similarities in student submissions Exact responsibilities and project assignment will be discussed with the successful candidate depending on suitability and AICET’s needs. Qualifications Graduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline with at least 3 years of working experience. Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build collaborative working relationships with people at all levels. Familiarity with web development using modern tech stacks and technologies such as Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Go, React, and JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience with AI and/or EdTech platforms and systems is preferred. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
