JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Cluster Director of Finance, the Cluster Assistant Director of Finance will assist in overseeing the overall financial management of the Hotels including financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development and maintenance of adequate internal accounting control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the generally accepted accounting principles, international and the brand financial reporting standards.
What you will be DOING:
Strategic Financial Leadership
Partner with the Cluster Director of Finance to shape financial strategy and ensure alignment with Accor and ownership goals.
Lead ROI analysis for capital expenditures and support feasibility studies for new initiatives.
Review and negotiate contracts in the absence of the Cluster Director, ensuring financial protection and favuorable terms.
Ensure all licenses, permits, and insurance policies are current and compliant with the Management Agreement.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and analyse monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) with commentary on variances and trends.
Submit detailed month-end packages to Sofitel AP and ownership, including credit analysis and cash flow forecasts.
Certify accuracy of internal and external financial reports before distribution.
Maintain documentation to support all balance sheet accounts and ensure audit readiness.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Assist in preparing the hotel's annual operating budget and rolling forecasts.
Collaborate with department heads to develop realistic and strategic departmental budgets.
Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis with actionable recommendations.
Internal Controls & Compliance
Design and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure policy compliance.
Conduct regular internal audits and support external audits with timely documentation and responses.
Ensure compliance with local tax laws, including GST and corporate tax filings.
