Associate Consultant/Consultant/Senior Consultant (Department of Otolaryngology)KKH is an 830-bed tertiary-level care hospital that provides obstetric, gynaecological, paediatric and other services. It is part of the SingHealth group of public hospitals. As an academic medical centre, KKH is a teaching hospital for Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. Our department is seeking a dedicated and skilled ENT surgeon to join our dynamic Otolaryngology team. The ideal candidate will have specialised training in paediatric ENT and a strong commitment to providing exceptional care for children with complex ear nose and throat conditions. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team at one of Singapore’s leading paediatric institutions, contributing to clinical care and academic excellence. Clinical Responsibilities Diagnosing and treating a wide range of pediatric ENT conditions including congenital airway disorders, congenital hearing loss, chronic ear disease, nasal allergies and sleep disordered breathing. Performing surgeries such as tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy, grommet tube insertion, microlaryngobronchoscopy and other pediatric procedures Collaborate with paediatricians, audiologists and other specliasts to ensure comprehensive multidisciplinary care. Participating in and supervising outpatient clinics, inpatient consults and on-call duties Engage in continuing medical education activities through giving tutorials and mentoring residents and medical officers in the department. Contribute to clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects. Accountability Be accountable to his/her clinical head. Conform to the appropriate standard of medical and clinical service quality within the department. Facilitate and assist the Head of Department, Division Chairman and CMB with the department’s perspective in the following: Making recommendations and giving appropriate input with respect to policy and management issues relating to the practice and development of medicine and medical services. Medical Teaching, Training, Continuing Medical Education and Research activities. To undertake the routine functions of the department. Administrative To facilitate and assist the Head of Service, Head of Department, Division Chairman and CMB with the department's perspectives in the following: Clinical Service Development To carry out the development and execution of the work plans. To optimise the utilisation of allocated resources. To assist in the planning of the annual operating budgets within the resources provided. Manpower Planning and Performance Management To be committed to his/her duties, work as a team with colleagues and perform to the best of his/her abilities. To fulfil the roles of the department. To provide his/her supervisor continual factual and qualitative information for the purpose of performance management. To play an active role as a member/chairperson in the hospital/national level committee. Requirements M.B.B.S. or equivalent basic medical degree Recognised relevant post-graduate qualification by Singapore Medical Council At least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed journal Strong clinical and surgical skills with a passion for pediatric patient care.
