Category Analyst, Core and Network Cloud

Overview Category Analyst, Core and Network Cloud - TPC Networks Sourcing team. Report to the Category Director within Networks. You will work closely with Telenor Group functions and Business Units to analyze data, support category strategy, demand management, and cost-saving initiatives across all Telenor's Business Units. Main responsibilities Gather, interpret, and use complex data to develop insights that support negotiations with suppliers. Perform benchmarks across suppliers and suggest ways to reduce expenditure. Carry out sourcing diagnostics and assist in preparing and implementing the category strategy. Create and maintain databases summarizing Purchase Orders from Telenor Business Units. Participate in and execute sourcing projects at global level with cross-functional stakeholders to reduce procurement cycle time. Develop and prepare periodic reports and analyses on procurement activities. Identify and realize cost-saving initiatives in the procurement of equipment and services. Coordinate with Business Units on contract management requirements, PO reporting, validations, and savings calculations. Participate in negotiations and help ensure delivery of targets; prepare financial comparisons of supplier bids in RFQs. Maintain awareness of relevant Sourcing and Procurement guidelines. Identify, analyze, and develop vendor markets. Handle ad hoc requests to answer stakeholder questions. Profile & Qualifications To be successful in this role you should be a professional eager to develop yourself within strategic sourcing. You should have an academic understanding of strategic sourcing and category management as well as spend analysis. The ideal candidate should be proficient in MS Excel to analyze data, with knowledge of Power BI or Tableau preferred. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Proficiency in analytical tools such as MS Excel, Power BI, Thinkcell, MS Access, and openness to new tools. Ability to present analysis and benchmarks clearly. Ability to model pricing structures, normalize, and negotiate during sourcing. Knowledge of Baselining, calculating TCO, NPV and other savings methodologies. Business knowledge in telecommunications. Insight into end-to-end Sourcing process. Strong communication and collaboration across organizational and cultural boundaries. Result-oriented with strong collaboration abilities and execution power. Understanding of the vendor market; flexibility and speed in response to business challenges. Commercial and negotiation skills; creative and innovative mindset. Knowledge of sourcing techniques, demand management and forecasting methods. Familiar with contract setup activities (specification, terms and conditions). High integrity and ethics. Qualification And Experience Bachelor's degree in technology, Computer Science, Finance, Business or equivalent. Fresh graduates can apply; experience in procurement/contract/vendor management is beneficial. Strong analytical skills with accuracy in handling large data sets. Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis tools (Thinkcell, Power BI, Tableau) for producing insights. Ability to analyze large price books in Excel; good verbal, written, and visual communication. Proficiency with MS PowerPoint is preferred. Experience in telecommunications sourcing is a plus.
