Role Description This is a full time onsite role for an IT Infrastructure Manager located in Singaporeunder the brand of Heptagon Photonics. The IT Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for overseeing IT operations, networksecurity, system administration, and troubleshooting on a day-to-day basis. This role requires a proactive command leader with hands‐on technical knowledge who can strategically design, implement, and maintain robust IT infrastructure and security measures while supporting business objectives. As Focuslight Technologies Inc. has just recently acquire the acquisition of LIMO GmbH in 2017 and SUSS MicroOptics SA & assets from ams OSRAM in 2024, the role is expected to be able work independently and take ownership of issues to adapt and learn new systems or processes and willing to stay current with evolving technologies. Job Description & Requirements Responsibilities: Administer, manage and maintain network, servers and storage Provide technical support in computer hardware, software and associated peripherals and ensure computers are setup and configured with standard software for users in local and regional offices Provide support for IT projects and propose recommendations to improve IT operations with suitable IT solutions and tools Ensure proper functioning of all security appliances and adherence to IT security policy control Create, review and update IT security policies and procedures Carry out periodic and required security updates to all IT systems, computers and equipment Perform backup and restoration of data & systems and periodic disaster recovery exercises as well as constant monitoring of system logs to identify and remove security threats Propose and develop implementation plans of useful IT technologies for constant infrastructure and security improvements Conduct User Training and documentation Work closely with regional IT colleagues for support, system implementation and IT operations Coordinate with IT vendors on faulty hardware repairs, replacement and support. Skills and Experience 1. Technical Skills Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)Experience with networking (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, routing, firewalls)Proficiency in server management (file servers, database servers)Expertise in virtualization and cloud technologies (VMware, Microsoft Azure)Backup and disaster recovery strategies System monitoring and performance tuning 2. Security and Compliance Security best practices (firewalls, antivirus, encryption, access control)Understanding of data protection regulations (GDPR, etc.)Experience with patch management and vulnerability assessment 3. Troubleshooting and Support Incident response and problem‐solving skills Helpdesk or user support experience (T1‐T3)Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues 4. Automation and Scripting Familiarity with automation tools (Power Automate, P)5. Documentation and Reporting Ability to create and maintain system documentation Report generation for performance, security, and usage metrics 6. Collaboration and Communication Experience working with cross‐functional teams Ability to work closely with IT team members from other locations Experience with team management Ability to work closely with IT team members from other locations Effective communication with non‐technical stakeholders 7. Project Management and Planning Ability to handle infrastructure upgrades and migrations Experience with planning and executing IT projects Certifications 1. Experience in IT Infrastructure Management Familiarity with managing and maintaining a site's IT infrastructure Knowledge of industry‐standard tools for monitoring and managing systems Adaptability and Learning Ability to work independently and take ownership of issues. Willingness to stay current with evolving technologies Flexibility in adapting to new systems or processes 4. Language Proficiency in both English and Chinese is required for this position due to genuine job‐related needs and not for discriminatory reasons. The requirement is based on the following: Communication with Stakeholders Across Regions The role involves liaising with headquarters and key vendors/partners located in regions where Chinese is the primary working language. English is required as it is the main language for internal communication, documentation, and coordination with international teams and external stakeholders. Technical Documentation & Compliance Important technical manuals, system specifications, and infrastructure‐related documents are available only in English and Chinese. Team Management & Support The IT Infrastructure Manager will supervise and support team members and end‐users who may be English‐or Chinese‐speaking. Ability to communicate clearly in both languages ensures effective troubleshooting, task delegation, and smooth operations. Cross‐Border Projects & Meetings The role involves participation in regional meetings, project discussions, and reporting to stakeholders who converse in English and Chinese. 1. Bachelor's Degree (preferred, but not mandatory): Computer Science Information Systems Cybersecurity (optional but beneficial)2. Alternative Qualifications : Associate's Degree in a related field (e.g., IT support, network administration)Technical Certifications (in lieu of formal degrees, or as an addition): 3.
