Date Posted: Location: 39 Changi North Crescent, Singapore Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Principal Industrial Engineer to lead and drive implementations of Industry 4.0 solutions across Collins Aerospace manufacturing sites. As a senior member of the team, you will take on a technical leadership role to drive the team in the implementation of advanced manufacturing and digital twin technologies to optimize efficiency, quality, and innovation in industrial operations. This position demands deep technical expertise, a strategic mindset, and will serve as a mentor to junior engineers while ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects. In addition, you will be a key contributor to our continuous improvement and innovation efforts, helping to shape the future of our industrial operations. Roles and Responsibilities Lead the design and integration of Industry 4.0 technologies, with a main focus on digital twin initiatives such as factory simulation, factory scanning and 3D modeling. Lead continuous improvement projects and initiatives aimed at improving manufacturing/ operational processes, increasing efficiency and productivity. Conduct comprehensive evaluations of manufacturing/ operational sites to identify inefficiencies, performance gaps, and areas for process optimization and improvement. Drive discussions with leadership teams to align engineering initiatives with business objectives and operational goals. Lead and champion best practices in the development of detailed process documentation and standardization. Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and systems to enhance manufacturing and operational capabilities by staying ahead of industry trends and implementing innovative solutions that drive continuous system improvement and performance. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in system design, deployment and maintenance. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and cross functional teams. Minimum Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial/ Mechanical Engineering or related field. Minimum Years of Experience At least 10-12 years. Preferred Skills Minimum 10-12 years of experience in industrial engineering, with experience leading large projects from proof of concept through full scale implementation. Comprehensive knowledge of factory operations methods and practices in manufacturing and MRO, such as value stream mapping. Proven experience in digital twin initiatives, such as factory scanning and factory simulation technology (Siemens Plant Simulation), processes, validation methods and best practices. Experienced in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement frameworks. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Expertise in troubleshooting, and design of experiment (DoE) methodologies. Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills, with the ability to communicate requirements and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Proven leadership skills, with experience mentoring junior engineers or leading a technical team. Experiences with other Industry 4.0 technologies such as real-time locating systems (RTLS), AMRs/AGVs and advanced robotics are good to have.
