Role Overview
The Operational Risk team plays a central role in enabling the organisation to identify, assess, and manage risks across all functions and subsidiaries. This role will focus on outsourcing and third-party risk management , ensuring the firm continues to uphold robust enterprise-wide risk practices. You will work closely with business stakeholders and senior management to strengthen frameworks, policies, and oversight mechanisms.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as gatekeeper for enterprise risk management policies, ensuring consistency and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Oversee and enhance risk management programs, including Risk Self-Assessment (RSA), Control Self-Assessment (CSA), incident management, business continuity, and outsourcing.
- Lead third-party and outsourcing risk assessments, including due diligence, operational reviews, and controls testing.
- Monitor and report on risk exposures, breaches, and contractual performance of material third-party arrangements.
- Support vendor due diligence, including reviews of operational controls, BCM, cybersecurity, and on-site assessments.
- Maintain and update incident management processes, delivering reports to senior management and regulators.
- Conduct independent reviews to validate the effectiveness of enterprise risk programs.
- Drive continuous improvements to risk monitoring tools, reporting systems, and operational processes.
- Prepare and present risk-related updates for committees and internal stakeholders, fostering a strong risk culture across the organisation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; 8–10 years' experience in operational risk and third-party/vendor risk management within financial services.
- Strong knowledge of MAS regulations and industry guidelines, including Outsourcing, Technology Risk Management, Business Continuity, Cybersecurity Act, PDPA, and ABS frameworks.
- Proven ability to work under pressure in fast-paced and crisis-driven environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills across multiple levels.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to make sound, data-driven judgments.
- A proactive team player with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
