Key Responsibilities Set up, operate and monitor wire-cut equipment - primarily Sodick and Makino machines - to produce precision components. Read and interpret job orders, engineering drawings, CAD/CAM output, and tolerancing information to determine machining operations. Input or assist in programming machine operations (path, offsets, wire feed, flushing, etc.) and select appropriate tooling, wire size and processing parameters. Perform machine set-up: load workpiece, mount fixtures, align datum, install wire, select/nozzle flushing system, set cutting conditions. Inspect finished parts using precision metrology tools (micrometers, dial indicators, gauges, etc) to verify adherence to drawing/specification. Carry out routine machine cleaning and maintenance (daily/weekly/shift checks) to ensure machine availability, reliability and quality output. Follow workplace safety requirements, maintain 5S / housekeeping in machine area Required Skills & Competencies Hands-on experience in operating wire-cut machines. Preferable if experience includes Sodick and Makino brands. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T symbols, tolerances. Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, dial indicators) and able to carry out inspection/first run part validation. Mechanical aptitude and good understanding of machining fundamentals, wire cut process (flushing, wire tensioning, spark conditions) and tooling/fixturing. Basic programming / machine setup skills (for example from CAM systems or direct machine parameters) Strong attention to detail, able to maintain high accuracy, control dimensions and surface finish. Good work ethic: willingness to work on shift pattern if required, proactive in maintenance, and committed to quality. Experience & Qualification Minimum of (1-3) years relevant experience in wire cut operation in precision machining Good command of basic English and numeracy for reading drawings and performing measurements. Basic understanding of CNC milling, turning, and surface grinding operations.
