Direct message the job poster from HCLTech Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer with strong expertise in Data Centre networking, cloud security, and multi-vendor technologies. The role involves designing, deploying, and managing complex network and security infrastructures across data centres, disaster recovery, cloud, and remote sites. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus, firewalls, F5 load balancers, and cloud security solutions such as Zscaler. Responsibilities Design and deploy Data Centre switching infrastructure using Cisco Nexus 9K (Leaf & Core layers). Architect and implement Zscaler Cloud Proxy and VPN remote access solutions. Manage day-to-day (BAU) operations, troubleshooting, and upgrades of routers and switches in DC, DR, and remote sites. Implement changes, resolve operational issues, and perform software upgrades on firewalls (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA). Configure, maintain, and upgrade F5 GTM and LTM devices. Assess customer requirements and design scalable, best-practice network/security solutions. Perform system integration tasks across multi-vendor technologies. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and implement preventive measures. Follow ITSM processes for change, incident, and problem management. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field 8 years of experience in network engineering and security operations. Strong understanding of OSI & TCP/IP architecture, VLANs, STP, VTP, HSRP, GRE, DMZ VPNs. Proficiency in routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) and WAN technologies (Private/Leased Line, MPLS). Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus (9K/7K/5K/3K), including firmware upgrades, ACI, OTV, and VPC. Expertise in firewall administration across vendors (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, FortiGate). Skilled in VPN configuration (Point-to-Point, GRE, SSL). Experience with F5 load balancing (LTM, GTM, APM). Familiarity with Citrix Netscaler, Cisco ISE, Cisco Prime, Cisco ACS, Tufin SecureTrack/SecureChange. Proficiency with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, Gigamon, packet sniffers). Hands-on experience with Cisco AnyConnect, Bluecoat Proxy, Zscaler Cloud Proxy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
