Overview Civil and Structural 2D Designer / Draftsperson (Civil Engineer)Responsibilities Perform site visits in refinery/chemical plants to prepare civil & structural design deliverables. Perform structural calculations and analysis using STAAD.Pro. Become familiar with client codes and standards. Resolve construction feedback issues relating to issued deliverables. Coordinate with other disciplines for interfaces. Define scope of work and estimate engineering hours required for design deliverables. Be responsible for performing IDC or interdisciplinary checks of C&S deliverables and other discipline drawings; study and perform IDC as needed. Support the project deliverables as per schedule and collaborate with other disciplines for requisite inputs. Participate in Model Review and Squad Check processes (preferred). Familiarity with instrument installation practices, construction sequencing and requirements, and access/egress considerations. Experience with 3D modelling in SP3D is preferred. Experience on international projects and with clients is preferred. Experience on Green and Brownfield projects is desirable. Qualifications / Desirable Skills Experienced designer with knowledge of design stages and deliverables for Civil and Structural disciplines. Ability to conduct site visits and prepare site visit reports. Proficiency with AutoCAD; knowledge of STAAD.Pro; familiarity with Microstation, PDMS, SP3D, and NAVIS Works for C&S design (Desirable). Familiarity with Civil & Structural codes and standards applicable to Oil & Gas / Chemical plants (British, Singapore, Eurocode, API, ASCE/ACI). Knowledge of preparation and review of Detailed Engineering Design Deliverables and Civil & Structural deliverables. Ability to prepare and review all C&S design deliverables independently in compliance with the Quality System. Ability to resolve construction feedback and RFI issues for issued deliverables. Ability to define scope of work and estimate engineering hours for design deliverables. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. #J-18808-Ljbffr
