Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced
Unix Engineer
with expertise in
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), OpenShift, JBoss, and Red Hat Satellite . The successful candidate will manage and optimise Unix/Linux environments, support container platforms, and ensure system availability, performance, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain
RHEL systems
across development, testing, and production.
Design, implement, and support
OpenShift container platforms .
Administer and troubleshoot
JBoss application servers .
Utilise
Red Hat Satellite
for provisioning, patching, and configuration management.
Implement
security controls and compliance standards .
Perform
system upgrades, patching, and maintenance .
Develop and maintain
system documentation .
Work closely with developers to support
application deployment .
Participate in
on-call rotations
for mission-critical infra.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science, IT, or related field .
5+ years of
Unix/Linux system administration
experience (focus on RHEL).
Strong hands-on experience with
OpenShift ,
JBoss , and
Red Hat Satellite .
Required Skills:
Advanced
RHEL administration & troubleshooting .
Shell scripting (Bash) and
Python
automation.
Strong grasp of
networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, Firewall) .
Knowledge of
Ansible / Puppet
for configuration management.
Experience with
monitoring/logging tools
(Prometheus, ELK).
