PCBA Test Development Team is responsible for providing PCBA test solutions to ensure electronic controller boards perform per the overall product specification. The team works closely with Design Engineering and Firmware to develop features in firmware that enable testing the electronic boards with maximum coverage and minimum test time.
This role offers an opportunity to be part of an innovative team, reporting to an Engineering Director.
About The Role - You Will
As a Test Software Development Engineer, you will work closely with seasoned professionals who will provide comprehensive training in the PCBA Test environment.
Gain hands-on experience: develop PCBA functional test software to add new/enhance test, optimize test time and adopt new initiator code revision
Linux Operating System Server/Tester: operate Red Hat Enterprise Linux compatible OSs (e.g., Fedora/CentOS/Alma/Rocky/Oracle Linux)
Test Software Development: develop GUI (Graphical User Interface) test software
Servers Management: develop/modify/maintain current deployed revision control and web-based software release management system
Correlation Studies: develop and run standard test sequences to verify a Known Good Board passes all tests; adjust tests for unique electronics subsections when needed
Collaboration: collaborate with Design Engineering, Firmware Development, QA, and SQE on test development and field failure analysis to enhance test coverage and optimize test time
About You
We're looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Engineer with a minimum of three years of experience in PCBA functional test or similar roles.

Communication Skills: strong ability to convey engineering and technical concepts to internal and external partners

Your Experience Includes
Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Software Engineering
Knowledge of basic hard disk operation and analog/digital electronics
Java web frameworks and web-based workflows (e.g., Tomcat, Spring, Spring Boot, Struts); client/server architecture with J2EE; frontend (HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP, jQuery) and backend Servlet/Java applications
RDBMS (PostgreSQL/MariaDB/MySQL); SQL fluency; experience with Apache web development/deployment and related workflow
Object-oriented programming in C++, Java, Python on Linux (Fedora/CentOS) and Windows
Familiarity with revision control and IDEs (CVS, Git, Perforce; Eclipse, QT Creator) and GUI toolkits; Linux commands; basic software release tooling
Knowledge of MEAN stack development with NoSQL; Linux device driver interfacing; Windows C/C++ GUI development is an added advantage
