Job Summary Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a compassionate and dependable Childcare Helper for a part-time weekday role. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and want a meaningful, flexible job that makes a difference in families daily lives. You will assist in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being during a short 4-hour shift each day. Key Responsibilities Assist with supervising children in a structured and safe environment. Support with feeding, diapering, toileting, and basic hygiene tasks. Engage children in age-appropriate play, storytelling, and educational activities. Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the playroom and common areas. Ensure children are safe and secure at all times, reporting any concerns promptly. Collaborate with lead caregivers or parents to understand daily needs or routines. Provide emotional support and comfort to children as needed. Required Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Basic understanding of child development and early childhood care. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both children and adults. Patient, warm, and attentive personality. Physically able to lift children and engage in active play. Experience Prior experience working in a daycare, preschool, or home childcare setting is preferred but not mandatory . Freshers with a genuine passion for childcare are encouraged to apply. Working Hours Shift Timing: 4 hours per day Days: Monday to Friday (Weekends Off)Shifts Available: Morning and Afternoon (flexible options based on availability)Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong observation and multitasking abilities. Understanding of basic health, nutrition, and safety practices in childcare. Ability to build rapport and trust with young children. Respect for diverse family values and cultural backgrounds.
