**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commis Chef to join our dynamic team. As a key member of the culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting with various meal preparations, gathering ingredients, and measuring them correctly before every meal preparation.

You should be able to assist with meat seasoning and chopping of vegetables, while maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and listening skills, as well as the ability to work as part of a team.

  • Assisting the Chef de Partie with meal preparations
  • Gathering and accurately measuring all meal ingredients
  • Washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits
  • Cutting and seasoning different meats
  • Preparing basic dishes such as salads and sauces
  • Maintaining proper hygiene standards and ensuring that the workstation always remains clean

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or a bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts
  • Proven work experience as a Commis Chef, Chef, Prep Cook, or a similar role in the hospitality industry
  • Experience in fine dining restaurants is highly advantageous
  • Complete knowledge of the industry's best practices, hygiene, and safety standards
  • Familiarity with various food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work at flexible hours and on weekends
