The Group is backed by a multinational workforce of about 100,000 people. Job Summary We are currently recruiting a position for an assistant research officer to join Wilmar’s corporate lab ( ). The potential candidate will be primarily involved in data analytics and machine learning. The project objectives are to model analytical data collected from Wilmar\'s factories or R&D centres to predict quality parameters related to the product. Responsibilities Manage and pre-process data Ability to code and script based on specified tasks Statistical analysis and machine learning experience in the following area Forecasting using time series data Neural networks, in particular recurrent and long short term memory networks Versatile in applying computational techniques to solve open problems Participate in seminars and research-in-progress meetings within the team and collaborators Job requirements Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Statistics/Mathematics Team player and ability to communicate technical concepts to lay people Ability to code in a few languages - R, python, java, bash Machine learning and statistical background Positive learning attitude towards new ideas #J-18808-Ljbffr
