DEPUTY MANAGER / ASSISTANT MANAGER, EV TECH UNIT
What you will be working on:
You will be part of the National Electric Vehicle Centre (NEVC), under LTA’s Technology and Industry Development Group. The NEVC is set up to facilitate EV adoption, spearhead regulation and deployment of EV charging systems, as part of the development of a thriving Electric Vehicle (EV) ecosystem in Singapore. To stay ahead of technological developments, NEVC has set up a Tech unit to facilitate the trial of innovative charging technologies/solutions that go beyond today’s standards. In this role, you will be part of the EV Tech unit under the NEVC. This role requires technical expertise in EV charging technologies, including safety and standards.
Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and foresighting new EV charging technology areas with high readiness for wide-scale deployment.
  • Liaising with representatives from external parties interested in trialling novel EV charging solutions; coordinating with internal LTA stakeholders to assess submissions; and supporting external agencies in reviewing cross-domain areas to enable EV charging trials/sandboxes.
  • Developing and organizing consultation platforms, with both public and private stakeholders, to ideate and advance EV charging solutions/technology related matters and opportunities in Singapore.
  • Leading grant calls and calls for solutions to research new frontiers of EV and EV charging technology.

What we are looking for:

  • Knowledge preferably in EV and EV Charging Ecosystem with at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience working in the EV or AV industry is an advantage;
  • Technical understanding of EV charging systems;
  • Strong design, conceptual, and analytical thinking skills;
  • Good writing, communication, and presentation skills;
  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently; and
  • Keen interest in industry trends and technology developments, especially in automotive and clean energy sectors.
