Our client is a leading American brand name in the field of consumer electronics, with more than 100 years in existence and more than 2,000 employees globally. We are representing the Singapore Research & Development (R&D) team to hire for their new headcount for the Motor Advanced Development team team.

Staff Engineer / Senior Engineer, Motor Development

(Advanced Development team)

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of innovative motor and design solutions for next-gen products.
  • Collaborate with global teams, suppliers, and partners to assess technical and cost feasibility.
  • Present clear, data-driven proposals with solution value, trade-offs, and risks.
  • Drive cross-functional implementation and validation for product integration.
  • Support engineering teams in integrating new tech into final designs.
  • Advance organizational expertise in motor and driver technologies.

Requirements

  • Master's/PhD in Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Expertise in motor driver and/or motor design (BLDC, PMDC, Universal motors).
  • Skills in power electronics, PCB design/layout, EMI/EMC compliance, and thermal management.
  • Knowledge of motor design optimization, safety standards, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical, creative, and problem-solving abilities with global collaboration skills.
  • Passion for research, innovation, and delivering real-world technology solutions.
