What You'll Do:
Lead engaging swimming lessons based on our Club's teaching syllabus.
Periodically update and improve the Learn-to-Swim (LTS) syllabus to keep it fresh, fun, and effective.
Ensure swimmers in your care are safe, supported, and progressing at their own pace.
Conduct termly LTS assessments and provide feedback to help swimmers reach their potential.
Instill values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and friendship in every lesson.
Assist in planning and executing swimming meets and activities.
Be the go-to person for parents and members, offering support and answering their queries.
Help plan and assist with swimming events and camps.
Other duties as assigned to support our swimming community
What We're Looking For:
At least 1 year of experience teaching Learn-to-Swim (LTS). Trainee coaches are also welcome to apply
National Registry of Coaches (NROC) Level 1, AustSwim (Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety), or an equivalent certification.
A valid First Aid and CPR-AED certification.
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with children.
Positive work attitude with the ability to collaborate well as a team player.
Passion for swimming and a commitment to imparting life skills to children.
Flexibility and willingness to work training shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Ability to start immediately is a plus.
