Description COMPANY DESCRIPTION THK MC was incorporated on 13 October 2011 as a charity to provide multiple social and welfare services to the community at large, and achieved an Institute of Public Character (IPC) status on 18 November 2011. THK MC is the charitable arm of Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society, which lives by the mission - To Serve Mankind - to help anyone who needs help regardless of their race, religion, colour, language, creed and culture. THK MC today serves more than 70,000 beneficiaries through more than 70 programmes across five Services, which include Disability, Early Intervention for Children, Family, Seniors' Community, and Therapy.RESPONSIBILITIES The Early Intervention for Children (EIC) Services helps equip children with motor, communication, social, self-help and cognitive skills. THK EIC involves structuring classes around small groups encompassing early childhood special education, social work and therapy support services to stimulate their adaptive functioning and school readiness skills.Reports directly to the Assistant Director (Social Work & Psychology)Role To oversee the Social Work and Psychology Department in their assigned centre(s) and work towards achieving the Centre's mission and vision by having close partnership with the Therapy Department, Teaching Department, Administrative Department and families of the children.Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Overseeing the SW & Psychologists in their respective centres Enhance the quality of Social Work and Psychology services through professional development of the Social Workers and PsychologistsEnsure that key stakeholders like parents are well managed and are satisfied with the programmeSupervision Supervise SWs, CWs, Psychologists and Psychologist Associates to provide quality case managementConduct annual performance appraisals for the SWs, CWs and PsychologistsOrientate new SW/ Psychologists in their respective centres to the Centre's ethos and processes and their job scopeProcess and Resources Management Ensure the smooth running of all related processes of Social Work and Psychology services in the respective centreEnforce and maintain consistent processes and practices of SW and Psychology across different SWs/ CWs and Psychologists in the respective centreAssign cases referred from SG Enable to SW/ CWManage manpower matters including covering duties, leave applicationsEnsure that the student enrolment at the respective centre is meeting full capacityEnsure timely submissions of statistical reports by the respective centre to Government agencies for funding purposesEnsure that the centre passes the yearly muster audits and various audits conducted by Government agenciesQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Degree or Post Graduate Qualifications in Social WorkMore than 3 years as a Social WorkerOTHER INFORMATION Mature, independent, creative, flexible thinking and able to motivate staffGood people skillsAble to work independentlyHas strong understanding of the diverse cultures and racesHas patience, love, passion & commitment in the education of & nurturing young children and empowering the familiesKeen to develop professionallyPlease note that your application will be sent to and reviewed by the direct employer - Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities #J-18808-Ljbffr
