Job Title: Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and implementing efficient data pipelines, as well as developing and maintaining large-scale data warehouses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Pipeline Development: Our Data Engineer will design, implement, and maintain efficient ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources. They will also optimize existing data pipelines for improved performance and scalability.
  • Data Warehouse Management: The successful candidate will develop and maintain the data warehouse architecture, ensuring it meets the needs of our team. They will implement data modeling techniques to optimize data storage and retrieval.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Our Data Engineer will implement data quality checks and monitoring systems to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data used in analytics and reporting. They will also develop and maintain data documentation and metadata.
  • Big Data Technologies: We require a candidate who is familiar with big data technologies, such as Hadoop and Spark, to process and analyze large volumes of customer data efficiently. Implementing solutions for real-time data processing will be essential in this role.
  • Data Governance: Our Data Engineer will collaborate with stakeholders to implement data governance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and internal data management standards.
  • Infrastructure Optimization: The successful candidate will continuously assess and optimize the data infrastructure to improve performance, reduce costs, and enhance scalability. Implementing automation solutions to streamline data processes will be crucial.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python or Scala for data processing and automation.
  • ETL Tools: Experience with ETL tools, such as Apache NiFi, Talend, or Informatica.
  • Data Visualization: Knowledge of data visualization tools, like Tableau or PowerBI, to support data quality checks and pipeline monitoring.
  • Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, and CI/CD practices.
  • Containerization: Experience with container technologies, like Docker, and orchestration tools, like Kubernetes.
