Job Title: Room Cleaning Operations Manager
About the Role:
The Room Cleaning Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the cleaning operations in a hotel environment. This includes direct supervision of Room Attendants to ensure that guest bedrooms, bathrooms, and corridors are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness and tidiness.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Direct and guide Room Attendants to maintain high standards of cleanliness and tidiness in guest bedrooms, bathrooms, and corridors.
  • Act as an advocate for safe work practices by ensuring that housekeeping employees follow established safety regulations when using equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, guidelines, and procedures by providing guidance to junior staff and new hires.
  • Organize and prioritize work assignments to ensure efficient turnover of guest rooms.
  • Maintain effective communication within the department through daily briefings with employees.
  • Ensure that lost and found items are handed to the Housekeeper according to standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure that floor pantries are equipped with adequate supplies.
  • Maintain motivation levels among housekeeping employees to foster a cohesive team.
  • Conduct twice-daily inspections of Room Attendant equipment and cleaning machinery to ensure proper working condition.
  • Conduct room checks on rooms cleaned by Room Attendants using a room inspection checklist.
  • Inspect each room in the assigned area, including vacant, occupied, check-out, or out-of-order rooms, as well as corridors, service areas, and storerooms, using a standard Supervisor checklist.
  • Report maintenance issues within the assigned area to the Housekeeper.
Requirements:
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to motivate and supervise a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices and ability to enforce compliance.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies.
