Job Description
The Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP), National University of Singapore, invites applications for multiple tenure-track Assistant Professor appointments. One position will be in international security (political science-international relations or other relevant disciplines), which is broadly defined to include traditional and emerging security issues. For the other two positions—in public policy and public administration—the a reas of interest are open; however, there is a particular interest in candidates with research and teaching expertise in public budgeting and finance, social policy and administration, leadership in public service, decentralization and local governance, and Technology/AI.
Job Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
a PhD conferred by 1 August 2026 in the fields of public administration , public management, public policy, political science, or a related discipline at the time of appointment;
publications in quality peer-reviewed journals in their field and/or a strong pipeline of working papers;
a clear research identity and trajectory to become an independent scholar;
research that is relevant to contemporary issues in Asia and/or Southeast Asia;
demonstrated ability to teach core and specialized courses in the public policy school environment; and
a willingness and ability to mentor graduate students.
