Overview
The Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) that pioneers innovative solutions and develops world-class science and technology capabilities to transform and empower the Home Team in delivering safety and security for Singapore.
What You Will Be Working On
Deliver, deploy and maintain Unmanned Maritime Systems (UMS) for HTDs.
Perform system integration of multi-variate components (platforms, sensors, mission payloads, autonomy and C3 systems).
Liaise with ops users, collaborators and vendors to deliver projects within budget, requirements and schedules.
Manage sustainment contracts of operational UMS and ensure proper maintenance through the in-service period.
Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, milestones, issues and expenditure.
Translate HTX technology from multi-year R&T (TRL 4 to 7) into viable operational capability.
Conduct OT&E to validate final articles before transition to operational systems.
Ensure proper integration and testing of all hardware and software components as part of OT&E.
Perform tech insertion into operational systems via mid-life upgrade or next generation platforms/systems.
Work with Head of DevOps/MS to determine the buy-vs-build-vs-hybrid approach to deliver the desired operational capability quickly.
Monitor and ensure timely delivery of milestones for the R&T workstreams.
What We Are Looking For
Minimum of bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronics/System Engineering/Computer Science). Post-graduate degree would be an advantage.
0–8 years of experience in project and technology management, preferably with maritime systems experience.
Aspiring fresh graduates with strong interest in unmanned systems in the maritime domain.
Basic knowledge of cybersecurity governance practices and implementation (preferred).
Basic knowledge of communications/datalinks/networks (preferred).
Practical experience applying systems engineering to large, complex systems (preferred).
Good communication skills; excellent teamwork; self-motivated with a sense of urgency to deliver outcomes; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical, planning and project management skills. PMP, systems engineering or equivalent certification would be an advantage.
All new appointees will be appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified within 30 days upon closing of the advertisement.
