Principal Engineer/Senior Engineer, Process Development (Cell) Join to apply for the Principal Engineer/Senior Engineer, Process Development (Cell) role at REC Be the key driver to ensure that REC delivers world class, leading top‑quality product through well‑controlled process and manufacturing flow, from material supplies to product deliveries. Be key driver to ensure improvement, qualification and implementation of new processes/products including changes and/or new product introduction, in line with overall production performance enhancement targets. Support production line issues with appropriate and permanent corrective solutions, as needed. In plant expansion phase, work closely with process/equipment/technology and contribute to establish good product quality and specification. Establish investment proposals and projects to utilize best available practice and competence. Support management directives and projects as required. Possess strong project‑management skills, providing key milestones, timelines and execution to oversee project completion on time. Candidate working in Cell PD is responsible for developing new cell processes or optimizing existing processes in Solar Cell Manufacturing. Work with external suppliers to bring in new materials or integrate new processes into the current cell processing line; work on continuous improvement projects to improve cell efficiency and cost. A semiconductor or solar‑cell background provides an added advantage. Able to mentor junior cell PD engineers and be a role model. Depending on competencies developed, process development may be rotated to different departments as required by management. Qualification Degree in engineering disciplines (electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, material science or related discipline). 5 years or more working experience. Knowledge of interpreting design intent for DFM and DF. Strong knowledge of semiconductor or PV. Knowledge of prototype PV module design functionalities that ensure good quality and manufacturability is an advantage. Knowledge of product functionality of PV modules/panels is an advantage. Good presentation and communication skills. Must be able to work independently and be knowledgeable in project management.
