Equity Research Analyst Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Equity Research Analyst to join our team in Singapore. The successful candidate will cover the Singapore equities market across various industries, including telecommunications, land transport, healthcare, and media.

As an Equity Research Analyst, you will be responsible for providing timely and rigorous fundamental research analysis and alpha-generating stock recommendations to internal and external clients. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Covering the Singapore equities market and providing timely research insights to clients.
  • Providing frequent and timely research updates to our institutional and retail clients and following up on their queries with high priority whenever there are new corporate, macroeconomic, geopolitical developments that impact the Singapore market.
  • Writing detailed research reports on stocks under coverage and maintaining up-to-date financial models on your coverage universe.
  • Maintaining a close relationship with companies under coverage and performing channel checks with private and/or non-rated companies.
  • Working closely with other equities research analysts based in Singapore.
  • Clear presentation and active participation in Group-wide discussions via conference calls, emails, and chats on a daily basis.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance; CFA qualification preferred.
  • At least 1 year of equity investment research experience.
  • Good analytical and communication skills.
  • Drive, tenacity, and ability to work independently, even under pressure.
  • All-round knowledge of different industries is advantageous.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin (essential for liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients).
