Senior/Assistant Director (Engagement), Communications and Engagement Division Join to apply for the Senior/Assistant Director (Engagement), Communications and Engagement Division role at Ministry of Trade and Industry (Singapore). What The Role Is You will be part of the Communications and Engagement Division, which is responsible for communicating MTI’s policies to external stakeholders such as the business community, industry players, and the general public. You will work in partnership with plan and execute MTI’s outreach and engagement efforts to communicate how MTI will develop a vibrant and dynamic Singapore economy. What You Will Be Working On Plan and execute MTI’s outreach and engagement efforts, across appropriate platforms, to raise awareness among different stakeholder groups on MTI’s economic strategies and priorities; Develop strategies to cultivate third-party advocates to rally support for MTI’s initiatives, testing out novel approaches where appropriate; Analyse qualitative feedback to gain insights on business sentiments/ concerns; Support efforts to build in-house engagement/public consultation competency and capabilities, including assisting with the development of toolkits and competency frameworks, as well as facilitation guides, based on stakeholder profiles and needs. Support political office holders for dialogues/ engagements. What We Are Looking For Relevant field of study in Social Sciences, Communications, Public Relations, International Relations, Economics, etc.; Relevant work experience in strategic communications, marketing communications, media relations or public relations; Interest in public sector policy matters, economic issues and current affairs; Good interpersonal skill, project management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment; Strong proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written; Proficiency in Mandarin will be useful as the role requires regular engagement with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and review of Mandarin-language materials.
