Part-Time lecturer for DF3011 Advanced Directing for Film at Nanyang Technological University Singapore (ADM). The Part-Time Lecturer is expected to teach an undergraduate core course commencing in January 2026.
Course
DF3011 Advanced Directing for Film
is a 13-week advanced level course that extends students' abilities as a director. Students will engage with advanced directorial processes and techniques as they take leadership in the production of a short film. This learning further establishes their skills as a director and will support such roles in further studies in film production.
Responsibilities
Oversee the audio aspect of students' projects related to digital filmmaking, from initial concept, screenwriting, production and post-production to the final sound mix.
Guide students in exploring the possibilities of audio for film in a variety of forms, which may include traditional scripted filmmaking, serialized content, non-scripted content and short-format videos.
Qualifications
Master’s and/or PhD in audio or related field with a track record of creative practice in film production.
Past teaching experience at Undergraduate Level is preferred.
Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Film Production or related field and sufficient and relevant industry experience may also be considered in exceptional cases.
