Lendlease Singapore is currently seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Senior Retail Design Executive or Assistant Retail Design Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that all retail and office spaces at JEM and PLQ — including new tenant fit-outs — are fully operational and ready by their scheduled opening dates, contributing directly to the success of two of our flagship developments.
Responsibilities And Accountabilities
Ensure that all stores/units are fully operational by the established opening date.
Ensure that the stores are executed retail design standards adhering to the set design criteria relative to the design guideline.
Manage merchant relationships and ensure internal construction and design teams are aware of lease forms and conditions and tenant requirements.
Support business drive solutions, on-site store delivery, and minimization of downtime in the income stream because of programmed openings.
Enhance processes through customer focus and ongoing relationships with retailers, contractors, builders and shop fitters. The role requires multidisciplinary knowledge in Retail, project management and construction management.
Liaise with the leasing department regarding the delivery process, coordinate with leasing to clarify terms with merchants, and track activities to ensure tenancy handover by the deadline.
Coordinate with lessee to obtain permits and approvals of works for tenancy and mall operations.
Support property feasibility studies and contribute to upkeep of property design enhancement works.
Keep abreast of market trends and design insights to share with teammates and tenants.
Be an excellent team-player to successfully open the mall with a high number of store openings.
Required Background
Degree or Diploma in architectural, interior design or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural and retail designing.
Experience in the retail shopping centre environment.
Strong administrative, communication and organizational skills, with project management capabilities.
Good time management, flexibility and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of statutory requirements in planning and design of the built environment.
Software proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop and 3-D SketchUp, and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of technical detailing and fitting out project management in the construction industry.
