Job Title: Expert COBOL Programmer

  • A dynamic opportunity has arisen for an experienced CORP System Professional

Summary:

  • This position involves working on the development and maintenance of CORP business applications using AS400 COBOL, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality solutions that meet client requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and deploying COBOL-based applications, as well as troubleshooting issues and optimizing system performance.
  • They will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and provide innovative solutions to improve process efficiency and reduce costs.
  • The candidate will also participate in the analysis, design, and implementation of new business systems and procedures.

Key Requirements:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in AS400 COBOL programming
    • Strong knowledge of COBOL/CLP and DB2/400
    • Familiarity with SEU, SDA, PDM, CLP/CLLE, MQ, JCL, and job schedulers
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Proactive approach to solving complex problems
