Overview
Network Infrastructure Solutions Architect role at Olympus Corporation. The Network Infrastructure Solution Architect designs and supports strategic network-related projects and transformations, helping define a multi-year technology roadmap for the Global Network Infrastructure aligned with business requirements and IT strategy.
In collaboration with service owners and business stakeholders, the architect defines and governs global standards for network technologies, ensuring secure, well-integrated, cost-efficient solutions that deliver performance and scalability for Olympus' global operations. A key focus is embedding IT security principles, data protection, and compliance in all network designs and services to protect information assets while enabling reliable, future-ready connectivity.
Role summary
IT Network Infrastructure Solution Architect
Responsibilities
Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of secure, scalable, and highly available network infrastructure solutions across on-premise, hybrid, and cloud environments.
Support the architecture, design, and integration of voice and network solutions, including WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, DNS, VoIP, SIP, Unified Communications (UC), Contact Center technologies, and collaboration platforms.
Lead the definition of the Global Network strategy roadmap in alignment with IT and Enterprise Architecture strategies, supporting business needs and objectives across manufacturing, R&D, and cloud services.
Design and recommend network solutions well-integrated with existing infrastructure, ensuring modernization, interoperability, cost-efficiency, security, and scalability.
Design automation and orchestration for network provisioning and configuration to foster agility and operational efficiency.
Ensure network designs incorporate security best practices, data protection principles, and compliance with global and local standards and policies.
Contribute to network performance monitoring and optimization strategies, proactively identifying bottlenecks, risks, and vulnerabilities to ensure high availability and reliability.
Identify and drive the adoption of innovative networking technologies (e.g., SD-WAN, SASE, Zero Trust, enterprise voice and video services) that support digital transformation initiatives aligned with business needs.
Participate in architecture reviews and IT change boards to ensure governance, standardization, and alignment across the global IT landscape.
Collaborate with enterprise architects, application teams, security teams, and third-party service providers to deliver robust networking services.
Maintain accurate documentation of architecture decisions, designs, standards, and best practices; support knowledge
