Job Summary: As a sales associate you will be the face of our company, highlighting our brand and image while contributing to building our reputation as a customer‐centric organization. You will assist customers, help them recognize the need for our products and services, and articulate our purpose in an educational, insightful, and professional manner. A positive, outgoing nature and a desire to serve others are essential. Responsibilities Proactively engage customers and establish a connection. Ask questions and listen to customer needs. Direct customers to merchandise, inform them about upcoming events, promotions, mobile offers, and STAR Card benefits. Provide premier customer service while building positive, inclusive, and respectful relationships. Take accountability for personal actions and outcomes. Maintain store appearance and overall presentation. Cross‐sell products and understand the store layout. Suggest the latest trends and current promotions based on individual customer needs. Upsell products when appropriate. Stay informed on product features, current trends, and leverage company tools and technology to deliver accurate product knowledge. Process cash exchanges, discounts, gift cards, credit/debit cards, and handle accurate cash management, including counting money and returning correct amounts. Complete various forms, reports, and reconciliation tasks. Serve as the keeper of merchandise, ensuring accurate inventory checks and ticketing; participate in periodic inventories. Adhere to the assigned work schedule and complete work assignments accurately. Qualifications Basic product and merchandise knowledge. Retail experience is preferred but not required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to read, write, and interpret instructional documents. Basic math abilities (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Reasoning and multitasking ability while maintaining customer focus; flexible to business needs; capable of independent work and teamwork. High School Graduate or equivalent preferred. Physical demands: constant movement, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, standing for at least two consecutive hours, occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders; lifting 25–50 lbs; functional vision requirements. Work typically performed indoors but may be assigned outdoors depending on location. Available to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
