Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive test plans for diesel power generators, ensuring they meet design and performance specifications. Conduct and oversee product testing, including performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. Identify, document, and report defects or issues discovered during the testing process. Work closely with engineers and designers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to generator design and performance. Provide technical support and expertise to cross‐functional teams in resolving product defects and improving product quality. Maintain accurate records of all test results, defect logs, and corrective actions. Prepare detailed test reports, highlighting any issues, solutions, and areas for improvement. Assist in the development of new diesel power generator models, providing input on design improvements and operational efficiency. Ensure all products are tested in accordance with quality standards before they are released for manufacturing or customer deployment. Establish and standardize processes for the entire lifecycle of product projects—from project initiation, design, and development to delivery and post‐delivery support. Develop and implement systems and frameworks to ensure these processes are followed throughout the product lifecycle. Ensure continuous improvement by optimizing process efficiency and streamlining workflows for smoother project execution. Contribute to process improvements and the implementation of best practices in product testing, quality control, and product development. Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies to bring innovative solutions to the testing and development processes. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience in testing, quality control, or applications engineering, preferably in diesel power generators or similar power generation systems. Strong knowledge of diesel engine operation, performance metrics, and troubleshooting. Proficiency in creating test plans, executing tests, and identifying technical issues. Excellent problem‐solving skills and the ability to collaborate across teams to find solutions. Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to power generation systems. Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‐paced environment. Experience in process development and implementation, particularly in product lifecycle management. Experience with product lifecycle management tools and test automation software. Certification or specialized training in diesel engine technology or power generation systems. Familiarity with electrical systems, power electronics, and generator control systems.
