Overview

Reporting to the Director Finance & Internal Control, you will be the Senior Manager - Finance & Accounts, responsible for overseeing all finance, accounting, and reporting activities. You must have a good understanding of the regulatory framework applicable to the sector, such as Income Tax, FCRA, GST, CSR, etc. Your role will involve ensuring that systems and procedures are in place to support effective program implementation and conducting flawless audits.

Responsibilities
  • Close books of accounts on a monthly/quarterly/annually basis, ensuring timely and accurate accounting of all relevant transactions, provisions, pre-paid expenses, depreciation, etc.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, monthly MIS, and consistently analyze financial data to present accurate and timely financial reports.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required and ensure internal process and SOP revisions periodically.
  • Liaise with internal and statutory auditors for auditing the books of accounts and provide necessary details.
  • Maintain internal control and safeguards for revenue, costs, program budgets, and actual expenditures.
  • Review donor utilization reports, track over/under-utilization of donor funds, prepare organizational budgets, and track project-wise monthly actual expenditure and variances.
  • Collaborate with Program leaders and their staff to educate them on finance and accounting procedures and explore how the finance function can support operational programs.
  • Manage the cash flow planning process, oversee cash, investments, and treasury operations, and explore new investment opportunities with recommendations on potential returns and risks.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualified CA / CIMA / CS / MBA or equivalent
  • Experience of 5 - 10 years in Accounts and Finance
  • Preferred background from NGO / NPO / Not for profit sector
Location

This position is based in Mumbai and may involve travel to other locations in India.
