Storeman - Industrial Machinery Manufacturing
Responsibilities
Inspect and verify incoming stock against delivery orders/invoices.
Check for damages, quantity discrepancies, or incorrect items.
Unload and organize deliveries; store items in designated locations.
Use shelving, racks, or storage systems to maintain order; maintain proper labeling and documentation.
Inventory management: track inventory levels and report shortages or excesses; assist in periodic stocktaking; use inventory management systems (manual or digital).
Issuing goods: pick, pack, and issue stock as per requests or job orders; ensure accurate documentation for outgoing items; coordinate with other departments or customers regarding supply needs.
Receiving goods and storing inventory: receive, inspect, and store items appropriately.
Housekeeping and safety: keep the store/warehouse clean and organized; ensure compliance with safety regulations (e.g., storage of flammable items); maintain stock cards, delivery notes, and inventory logs; report damaged or missing stock to supervisors; support audits and stock reconciliation processes.
