Junior Network Engineer Job Description

At our organization, we are seeking a skilled Junior Network Engineer to join our team. This is a critical role that will play a key part in the success of our business.

  • Job Summary:
  • We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Network Engineer to support our network infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering and maintaining day-to-day operations of servers and networking systems, organizing, installing, and supporting computer systems, including local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), network segments, intranet, and other data communication equipment in Data centres and security access.

Responsibilities:

  • Administration and Maintenance: Ensure the smooth operation of our network infrastructure by performing regular checks and maintenance tasks on servers and networking systems.
  • Network Support: Provide assistance and troubleshooting to end-users regarding network-related issues, ensuring minimum downtime and optimal system performance.
  • Infrastructure Development: Work with our team to design, implement, and maintain new network infrastructure, including LAN and WAN installations, network upgrades, and data centre expansion.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of projects related to network infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 1.5 years' experience as IT Level 2 Support Engineer.
  • Skills: Hands-on experience with AIX, Linux, RedHat, Window VMWare, vCenter, Veeam & et cetera.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
