Job Description: Product Manager
As a Product Manager, you will work on our core technology enabling our multi-currency payments. You will have the opportunity to work directly on payments technology and bank integrations, covering complex integrations and core logic around card payments, fraud prevention, and more.
You’ll need to be technically proficient and comfortable picking up new technical knowledge quickly. We’re looking for someone who is undaunted by complexity and willing to roll up their sleeves and dive into the details with our world-class engineers. You should be prepared to build things faster than any industry norm and to always be willing to try new things. At the same time, you should be able to articulate risks clearly and demonstrate great judgment in your recommendations. Familiarity with producing detailed technical documentation is also important. Experience in internal process redesign is a plus as we grow and scale the company.
You will:
Be part of our mission to develop innovative and industry-leading product strategies and roadmaps that uniquely serve our customers and differentiate us from the competition.
Focus on technical product management, coordinating multiple teams to deliver scalable technical functionalities.
Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and other stakeholders to develop and maintain a prioritized product backlog, executing on delivering a delightful experience to our customers.
Work across functions in the company such as marketing, operations, finance, and other stakeholders to define our go-to-market plans and scale our business processes.
Define success metrics and constantly measure the impact of our work as we grow.
Perform other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
You have:
4-6 years of outstanding and relevant product management and technical experience in developing technically complex products. Knowledge of payments is a plus, as the learning curve will be steeper for someone without payment industry experience.
A track record of working on complex technical issues and integrations.
Comfort in deep discussions with senior engineers (both internal and external) and proficiency in working on new integrations with external parties.
Ability to articulate the technical risks of various options (including build vs. buy) and understand the nuances and trade-offs of various options clearly.
A proactive approach to identifying problems and proposing pragmatic solutions across team boundaries.
Interest in writing and structuring good technical documentation and requirements.
Preparedness to dive deep into workflows/processes to help us scale while ensuring a delightful customer experience.
Natural leadership qualities, prepared to make weighty judgment calls, while remaining humble and aware of the limits of your expertise.
Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly with external partners/vendors to meet our business needs.
Potential for managerial responsibilities as the Product function grows.
