Overview Join to apply for the Online Tutor role at Cosmo 1:1 (formerly ClassUp), the online learning platform that connects K-12 students with tutors for personalized lessons. Tutors set a flexible, consistent schedule. We teach math, ELA, and SAT prep with Cosmo-provided learning plans. This position is suitable for experienced educators looking to teach in an after-school setting. You will meet with your students 1 on 1 for a 50-minute session at a set time each week. Tutors should be reliable role models who come prepared, on time, and maintain a kind, engaging demeanor. The base pay is $20 Singapore Dollars plus regular incentives and bonuses. Responsibilities Provide personalized 1-on-1 instruction for your students Update your availability in the Cosmo App promptly Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student’s age and ability Submit class feedback after each lesson Communicate with parents and students professionally Attend all classes on time in a professional setting Communicate with Cosmo staff as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree from a US, Canadian, UK, or Australian university, or a Bachelor’s from “Big 6” colleges in Singapore (NUS, NTU, SMU, SUTD, SIT, SUSS)3 years of experience teaching grades K-12 in math, ELA, or SAT prep Experience with K-12 ELA/Math standards Teaching license preferred but not required Fast and reliable internet; Windows or Mac PC with a suitable processor Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months with Cosmo 1:1Available between 6-9 AM EST or 3-10 PM EST on weekdays or weekends Minimum of 20 hours of availability per week Private, quiet location Passion for helping students learn; patient, adaptable, and reliable Job Details Seniority level: Entry level Employment type: Part-time Job function: Education Industries: Primary and Secondary Education, Education, and E-Learning Providers Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Cosmo.
