Job Description & Requirements Primary Responsibilities A Performing Artiste is a professional entertainer who engages audiences through various forms of performance such as acting, singing, dancing, musical instruments, comedy, spoken word, etc. The role demands exceptional creativity and dedication and the ability to connect with audiences. The primary responsibility of a Performing Artiste is to deliver compelling performances that captivate and entertain. Interpret music or dance and perform in a production. Convey emotion or tell a story using body movement, vocals, or instruments. Audition for roles. Attend rehearsals and confer with other band members. Teach students how to perform specialized craft. Work with music director to fine-tune performance. Go on short-term or lengthy tours. Arrange for musical instruments or props to arrive at gigs. Promote music through fliers, word of mouth, social media, or interviews. Perform on stage in front of a live audience. Interpret criticism from directors. Memorize lines or musical notes. Read scripts. Requirements An artist must be an expert on the ins and outs of the music. Good artist do everything they can to make their clients successful.They possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, public relations skills, marketing and advertising skills, negotiation skills, leadership skills and basic computer skills.Artist managers must be friendly, independent, aggressive, and has the ability to work as part of a team.Possesses the ability to work on various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
