Roles & Responsibilities 1. Job Summary As a Programme Executive at New Hope Community Services, you will play a vital role in driving our mission to bring change into the lives of the displaced and disadvantaged in our community. This pivotal role involves spearheading the strategic development and execution of our programmes / events, aimed at fostering positive change and holistic support for our residents / clients. You will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programme activities / events, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives. The Programme Executive works collaboratively with our dedicated cross-functional teams, community partners, and stakeholders, to be a Beacon of New Hope to the displaced and disadvantaged in our community. 2. Key Responsibilities Plan, design, and execute a repertoire of programmes that support the organisation’s objectives, in close collaboration with staff, partners and volunteers. Set realistic and sustainable goals for each program, in line with organisation’s goals. Prepare and establish a calendar of programs and activities for the centre, including financial budget, operating plan, and resource utilisation. Market programmes and activities to the relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal participation from target audience. Managing communication with all stakeholders to discuss programme status and goals. Facilitate the appointment of project coordinators and ensuring the allocation of common resources and skills within the programme’s individual projects. Manage third party contributors and/or volunteers to the programmes. Oversee and ensure effective quality assurance and overall integrity of the programme, from commencement to completion of each programme. Ensure all necessary resources are put in place for smooth programme execution. Evaluating and assessing the programmes’ strengths and weaknesses, and initiate the appropriate enhancements/interventions to improve the development and delivery of each programme. Manage programmes’ operating budget on behalf of the Centre Manager, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered and realised benefits as the programme progresses. Establish and track desired outcomes of the programmes and activities and provide such reports to the Centre Manager and relevant funding partners (if any) regularly. Competency Requirements Core Competencies Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective communication with residents, team, community partners, and stakeholders. Leadership: Excellent team player with strong leadership and responsibility skills. Customer Orientation: Commit to exceeding both internal and external clients’ needs. Proactively identify clients’ needs and sustain a culture of service excellence within the organisation. Adaptability: Strong team player who is resourceful, adaptable, and able to perform multitasks under a given timeline. Collaboration: Willing to work with the homeless and destitute. Able to handle shelter residents politely yet firmly. Good organisational and project management skills. Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently. Technical Competencies Proficiency in IT Systems and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Education and Experience: Minimum Degree or Diploma in relevant disciplines At least 2 years of relevant working experience in similar sectors Relevant volunteering experience in the Social Service sector would be an advantage.
