Film Composer – Live-Action Adaptation role at Twine. This role is for a talented composer to create an original score for a live-action fan film adaptation inspired by Inspector Gadget. The project aims to capture the musical style and quality found in animated-comedy films such as “Woody Woodpecker” (2017). The selected composer will deliver a dynamic and engaging soundtrack that enhances the film’s comedic and adventurous tone. The project is currently in planning and research phase, with final composer selection and announcement scheduled for 2026. This is a personal, low-budget project, ideal for a composer seeking creative freedom and the opportunity to contribute to a unique adaptation.
Responsibilities
Compose and produce an original score tailored to the film’s comedic and animated style
Deliver high-quality audio files in MP3 or WAV format
Collaborate closely with the director, following detailed requirements and feedback provided via text message
Ensure all music is original and suitable for official film credits
Provide music assets in a timely manner according to the project timeline
Requirements
Proven experience composing for film, preferably in the animated or comedy genre
Professional IMDB profile for proper film crediting
Strong ability to interpret creative direction and adapt to evolving project needs
Proficiency in music production software and audio file delivery
Flexibility to work within a low-budget, independent project environment
Excellent communication skills and responsiveness to feedback
Availability for remote collaboration and ongoing communication throughout the project
