IT Support Specialist Role

This role requires a high level of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and communication ability.

The ideal candidate must have strong experience in incident management, ticket handling, and issue resolution within IT infrastructure environments.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Incident Management: Manage incidents according to defined processes and procedures, ensuring adherence to service targets and quality standards.
  • Ticket Handling: Receive, analyze, and prioritize incoming tickets, assign them to appropriate teams or individuals, and ensure timely follow-up on resolutions.

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:

  • Strong team player with flexible and effective time management skills.
  • Able to work with sense of urgency under multiple deadlines and successfully organize and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in L2 / L3 support in a Production Support group in a high availability / mission critical environment.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL methodology.

In addition, the ideal candidate should have experience with Distributed Technologies - AIX, MQ, Java, RDBMS, connect-direct, native iOS / Android applications, OpenShift, container native applications, microservice design patterns, Kubernetes infrastructures, container, virtualization, cloud technologies, and software code issues troubleshooting and reporting findings.
As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance during production hours. This involves receiving and resolving system issues in accordance with agreed service levels. Your duties will also include managing incidents, handling tickets, and troubleshooting complex technical problems. You will work closely with other teams to achieve these goals. You are expected to possess excellent technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills.
