Technical Chemist

Position: Technical Chemist / Chemical Engineer 5 Days Work Week (9:00am – 6:00pm)Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $6,000 + AWS + Variable Bonus Outpatient Medical & Dental Benefits Provided Duration: Permanent Main Responsibilities: Customer Technical Servicing: Provide day‐to‐day support and guidance on all product and process technical requirements. Participate in regular cross‐functional meetings to ensure that customer technical requirements are met on time. Provide technical advice (e.g., product specifications, applications, quality) to customers, Sales, and the Supply Chain team. Manage customer‐specific and new product specification requests. Manufacturing Technical Support: Provide technical support by working with manufacturing plants in cross‐functional teams to assist with process and quality improvements, troubleshooting, and complaint resolution. Ensure that technology and quality standards for new and revised formulas/specifications are successfully transferred into manufacturing processes. Provide technical expertise to the Engineering department to ensure new projects and plant modifications align with customer expectations and requirements. Business Development: Supporting new business opportunities/assessment for currently marketed products as well as for new products framed in the oleochemical industry. Participate in the process of analysis and evaluation of new investment projects. Requirements: Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. At least 3 years of experience in a technical role within the Oleochemicals or derivatives industry. Demonstrated ability to achieve results through others, as well as the ability to operate independently as required. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work with a vision toward continuous improvement.
