We are seeking an inspirational, experienced and highly motivated teacher of French to join our team of specialists. If you are keen to help learners progress through MYP, IGCSE (Cambridge) and IBDP and learn more about language and culture and are passionate, creative and dynamic, we want to hear from youJOB DESCRIPTION The successful candidate will deliver French to learners across the secondary school. They will support their learners in developing French proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, listening and grammar skills. It is an expectation that the candidate will use inclusive practices and enable student agency and promote student wellbeing. Inquiry-based teaching strategies will be used to create positive learning environments that motivate and challenge all learners to become self-regulated, life-long learners and leaders who can communicate effectively through written and spoken French.ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Employing effective pedagogy and care that enables children to become successful and self-regulated learners who achieve personal excellence by:Building learning-focused relationships Being accountable for learners academic and social and emotional progress Using appropriate assessment tools for formative and summative assessment Recording and using assessment information to monitor learners and plan progression Collaborating with peers to help learners progress through the MYP levels to be able to pursue a language all the way to IBDP Providing high quality scaffolding and feedback to learners that encourages learners to reflect on their learning Involving parents in their children's learning through learner-led conferences and regular parent - teacher dialogue Employing and integrating ICT as a tool that improves children's learning and assists learners to solve authentic problems related to "real-world" problems or issues Involvement in whole school events and activities as required Modeling the skills and attitudes of a global citizenship, through presentation, personal and professional conduct Proactively safeguarding our learners Working as a tutor as assigned and collaborating with the Year Leader QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS A relevant degree A teaching qualification (or equivalent) Evidence of continued relevant professional development Experience in teaching learners with diverse needs 2+ years experience in an international school environment (preferred) Relevant curriculum experience Candidates are required to submit their application through our recruitment platform by using the link provided below.
